Mission: s2, E2: Insurrection on New Vulcan Colony
Location: Mess Hall
Timeline: MD001 1730 hrs

"I hope you do not mind, but I managed to get us a table with view." Gregory said, with a big grin on his face. He had pulled in a few favors from his colleagues. Gregory started to sit down at the table with Jessica.

“I am happy to be sitting here,” Jessica said with a smile. It meant that he was going out of his way to impress her and she really wanted to impress him as well.

"Me too, I wish the mess hall had more windows. As nice as the walls are, they are to blend for my liking." Gregory said, with a warm hearted smile.

“It would make eating more pleasant,” Jessica murmured. “Because your right, the walls don’t emit warm feelings they are blah.”

"So how was your day?" Gregory asked, as he situated his plate on the table, and picked up a fork. He was hoping to engage in small dialogue. He wanted to keep wooing her off her feet.

“It was pretty busy actually,” Jessica smiled at him. “I had a few physicals to give our and had to take care of an ensign with a broken arm.” She paused for a moment. “How was yours?”

"How did they beak their arm? My day was clearly not as eventful as your day." Gregory said, with a warm smile and a vested interest in learning more.

“Evidently he was climbing a ladder in engineering,” Jessica explained. “The official story is he lost his footing but I have a feeling there was some playing going on because he said the chief isn’t happy with him.”

Gregory was fascinated with the story she was telling. He would have never guessed a person climbing a ladder in engineering would cause this type of injury.

"Ya, sounds like there is more to the story. Maybe Lieutenant Grant would be willing to talk about it." Gregory pointed out to Jessica. He knew they were friends. Chelsea and Jessica.

“Oh I am sure she would fill in all the holes in his story,” Jessica grinned. “There is no way he just skipped off the ladder, they are well maintained.”

"Depends on how much you want to get to the bottom of things, or do you want to let is slide?" Gregory pointed out to her. The call was her, he hoped she would let it go. He knew her hypocritcal oath, may not allow her too.

“I think it is best to let it go,” Jessica said with a smile. “It is really up to his chief.”

"Very big of you sweetie." Gregory said, as he reached for her hand, to show his affection towards her.

Jessica smiled as she put her hand in his. “We’ve all done dumb things before, I know I have.”

"Whew, I thought I was the only one." He said, with a wink in his eye. He was trying to be funny, and lighten the conversation.

Jessica laughed softly. “So tell me one thing you have done.” She waited to see what he would say.

"In time sweetie, in time." Gregory said, with a big grin. He then went on. "For the moment, we should focus on the here and now." He suggeted to her, to get the spotlight off of him.

“Okay,” Jessica smiled not at all bothered by his reply. She really didn’t want to share her dumb things either. “This is nice,” she said as she looked out the window. “It’s really quite beautiful.”

"Streaking stars around the ship, sure its lovely. But I get what you mean. Typically when the ship is not in motion and heading back to Deep Space 16, there are some lovely views to look at." Gregory suggested.

Jessica smiled at him. “It’s a nice change of scenery from four walls.”

"I totally agree, imagine the scenery around Deep Space 16, that will be nice to look at." Gregory pointed out to Jessica.

“It would,” Jessica agreed with a nod. “But I don’t know,” she said her eyes on him. “I like the scenery right here.”

"Could be the company." Gregory said, with a big grin on his face. He knew he was admiring the company.

“I would say definitely,” Jessica smiled. “I was looking forward to this all day.”

"So was I, I enjoy moments like this." Gregory suggested to Jessica, with a big smile on his face.

“It’s hard to believe we have been here a year already,” Jessica said with a smile. “Who knew when we saw each other that we’d end up together.” She laughed softly. “Well, I did because I liked you right away.”

"I had a feeling you might have, I think the entire ship knew that I liked you from day one." Gregory said, with a big grin on his face. He was not afraid to show his affections.

“We truly were a couple at first sight,” Jessica smiled. “I always thought it couldn’t happen and here we are!” She laughed.

"Yes here we are, but I am more interested in knowing where we are going?" Gregory said, trying to sound cute and inquistitive at the same time.

“I am hoping you are on the same page I am,” Jessica said with a smile. “I would like to move forward in a more serious nature.”

"I am, you can believe that." Gregory said, not sure how to re assure her of that.

Jessica sighed and then smiled widely. “I didn’t want to come on to strong or to be too forward and we were both feeling the same.”

"I'm glad you did not give up on me. I can not imagine my life without you in it." Gregory said with a big grin.

“I wouldn’t have,” Jessica said with a smile. “I care too much to walk away from you now.”

The scene starts to fade away with Gregory and Jessica giving each a small kiss.

Jessica felt all warm inside as they kissed. She was happy they were getting more serious.
